GNAC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week Report #13

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Lyric Grumblatt, Rivier (Sr., G/F)

Rivier senior Lyric Grumblatt had a very impressive week as the Raiders played to a 2-1 record. She averaged 32.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 4.0 steals per game across the three contests. In her biggest scoring game of the week, she dropped a career-best 44 points, including six three-pointers against regional power, Trinity. She just missed a double-double against the Bantams with nine reobunds. She would get her double-double in the next contest, a GNAC victory over Colby-Sawyer on Wednesday (Feb. 7). She scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, while also coming away with five steals. Her strong play would continue in a GNAC matchup with Dean in which she scored 27 points and grabbed six boards to go along with five more takeaways. During the week, Grumblatt also moved into second all-time on the Raiders scoring list and became the all-time three-point record holder.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Grace Ramsdell, Saint Joseph's (So., F)

Saint Joseph’s (Maine) forward Grace Ramsdell just missed averaging a double-double with 16.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game this week as the Monks went 2-0. Ramsdell’s biggest game of the week came against Emmanuel as she contributed 19 points and 10 rebounds to the winning effort. She also had four steals and a block. She concluded the week with 14 points and eight more rebounds in a GNAC victory over Mitchell.


WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Caitlyn Scott, Albertus Magnus - Averaged 23.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in a 1-1 week for Albertus Magnus.

Yasmine Santos, Mitchell - Averaged a double-double with 28.0 points and 13.0 rebounds per game. Recorded an impressive triple-double against Dean with 34 points, 18 rebounds, and 10 steals. Also averaged 4.5 assists per game on the week.

Maren McGinn, Norwich - Contributed 16.0 points and 13.5 rebounds per game to average a double-double for Norwich. Reeled in 19 rebounds against Lasell.

Angelica Hurley, Saint Joseph's (Maine) - Contributed in a number of ways to Saint Joseph's (Maine) 2-0 week with 19.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. Registered a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds against Emmanuel. Also became a member of the Monks' 1000-point club during the week.

Jordan Ouellette, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Averaged a double-dobule during the University of Saint Joseph's (Conn.) 2-0 week with 15.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.
