PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Yasmine Santos, Mitchell (Sr., G/F)

Senior Yasmine Santos was a key factor in Mitchell’s 68-61 victory over Western Connecticut on Wednesday (Nov. 22). She put together a strong double-double against the Wolves, dropping 28 points and grabbing 22 rebounds to help the Mariners to their first win over WCSU in the program’s Division III era. She also had three assists and a steal in the game. Santos was especially strong from the free-throw line, sinking 20 of her 24 attempts, including nine in the fourth quarter alone.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Grace Ramsdell, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (So., G)

Saint Joseph’s (Maine) guard Grace Ramsdell averaged 15.0 points and 6.0 rebounds this week as the Monks played to a 2-0 record. She shot 47.6 percent (10-for-21) from the field including a 19-point performance against Maine Farmington. She followed that up with a double-double, contributing 11 points and 10 boards to a 53-52 win over Southern Maine on Sunday (Nov. 26).


WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Courtney Doherty, Regis - Scored a career-high 32 points against Framingham State. Shot 10-for-19 from the field, including 3-for-8 from behind the three-point line, and 9-for-11 from the free throw line to surpass her previous career high scoring total by eight points.

Angelica Hurley, Saint Joseph's (Maine) - Averaged 14.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.5 steals while playing just 26 minutes per game in a 2-0 week for Saint Joseph's (Maine).

Taylor Verboven, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Lifted the Blue Jays to a 61-48 road win at WPI after scoring a season-high 23 points while tallying eight rebounds, one assist, and two steals. Shot 77.8 percent (7-for-9) from the floor.
