GNAC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week Report #5

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Lyric Grumblatt, Rivier (Sr., G/F)

Rivier senior Lyric Grumblatt averaged a double-double for the Raiders this week, producing 33.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. She also had assist and steal averages of 5.5 per game. She opened the week against a tough Framingham State team, dropping 33 points and grabbing eight boards in a loss. She had six assists, two steals, and block against the Rams. She followed that up with another huge scoring game, dropping 34 in a conference victory over Elms. She reeled in 13 rebounds in the game and barely missed a triple-double with nine steals. She also had five helpers against the Blazers. For the week, she shot 46.8 percent (22-for-47).

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Grace Ramsdell, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (So., G)

Saint Joseph's (Maine) guard Grace Ramsdell posted a strong double-double for the Monks as they took down Regis in a GNAC matchup. She scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, while also dishing out an assist. She shot an impressive 63.6 percent (7-for-11) from the floor, including a 2-for-3 showing from downtown.


WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Jakara Murray-Leach, Albertus Magnus - Averaged 19.0 points and 9.3 rebounds in a 3-0 week for Albertus Magnus. Shot 59.5 percent (22-for-37) from the floor and also contributed defensively with at least one block in each contest.

Marinique Reddin, Anna Maria - Averaged a double-double with 22.0 points and 13.0 rebounds per game as Anna Maria went 3-0 on the week. Also averaged 3.7 steals and 2.0 assists per game in the three victories.

Marissa Holt, Colby-Sawyer - Contributed to Colby-Sawyer's victory over Fitchburg State in a number of ways. Produced a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while also dishing out seven assits and coming away with seven takeaways.

Jordan Ouellette, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Averaged 21.3 points, 9.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game as the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) went 3-0. Scored 13 points, eight rebounds and six assists in the 79-54 win over Salve Regina, followed by a season-high 29 points and nine rebounds in the comeback victory against John Jay. Registered a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds agaisnt New England College in GNAC play.
