2009 GNAC Women's Soccer Championship Final Set
#2 Seed Emmanuel College and #5 Seed Simmons College will compete in the 2009 GNAC Women's Soccer Championship. The match will be played on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 12:30 pm at the Roberto Clemente Field in Boston, Mass. The winner of the GNAC Championship will be awarded an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Katherine Chambers (Womens Soccer, St. Josephs Maine), Laura Furfaro (Womens Cross Country, JWU), Kasey Higgins (Womens Volleyball, JWU), Matt Munden (Mens Golf, UMass Dartmouth), Sabrina Salmela (Womens Tennis, Simmons), Mathew Scully (Mens Cross Country, Lasell), and Mike Skelton (Mens Soccer, Lasell) have been named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookies of the Week.

Suffolk Women's Soccer Honored by NSCAA for Ethics/Sportsmanship
The Suffolk University Women's Soccer team was awarded a Gold medal for Ethics/Sportsmanship by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America for the 2008 season. Suffolk was one of seven winners of this award which was handed out to both men's and women's college programs across the country. This group included NCAA Divisions I, II, and III as well as NJCAA and NAIA programs. Suffolk's women were the only NCAA Division III program in New England to earn this honor.

Two GNAC Womens Soccer Players Named To NSCAA All-Region Team
Two GNAC juniors, Kate McKenna (Holyoke, Mass.) from Emmanuel College and Ashley Sanford (Holden, Maine) from GNAC Championship team of Norwich, were named to the 2008 National Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All New England Region team.

Norwich Claims 2008 GNAC Women's Soccer Championship
NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Leanne Waterman scored off a cross from Nikki Szczepanski midway through the first overtime to lift the Norwich University women's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Emmanuel in the GNAC Tournament championship game Saturday afternoon at Howard Field.

Saint Joseph's Leger Named 2008 GNAC Woman Of The Year
Recent Saint Josephs College (Maine) graduate Jillian Leger (Westminster, Mass.) has been named the 2008 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Woman of the Year. As the GNAC winner, Leger will also be nominated for the NCAA Woman of the Year award, one of the most prestigious honors the NCAA bestows. The award recognizes senior student-athletes who have distinguished themselves throughout their collegiate careers in the areas of academic achievement, athletics excellence, service and leadership.

Emmanuel College Women's Soccer Win 2007 Championship
November 4, 2007 - The Emmanuel Women's Soccer Team defeated Emerson College, 4-1, winning the program's second GNAC Championship and earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. After being rained out on Saturday, the conference championship game was moved to Sunday and played on the turf at Dilboy Stadium in Somerville, MA.

Saint Josephs (Maine) Edges Out Emmanuel In Preseason Coaches Poll
Saint. Josephs College (Maine) edged out the 2007 GNAC champions Emmanuel College by earning 135 points in the womens soccer preseason poll, while Emmanuel earned 134 points to come in a close second.
