GNAC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week Report #11

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Lyric Grumblatt, Rivier (Sr., G/F)

Senior Lyric Grumblatt put together a solid week for Rivier as her team went 1-1 in GNAC play. She narrowly missed averaging a double-double, producing 28.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game this week. She also averaged 2.0 assists and 2.5 steals per contest, while shooting 52.4 percent (22-for-42) from the floor. She opened the week with a double-double against Lasell on Wednesday (Jan. 24) with 23 points and 10 rebounds and followed that up with an impressive 34 points and eight boards against Johnson & Wales on Saturday (Jan. 27).

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Grace Ramsdell, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (So., F)

Saint Joseph's (Maine) forward Grace Ramsdell contributed 16.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game in a 2-0 conference week for the Monks. She started the week with 17 points and five rebounds in a victory over New England College on Wednesday (Jan. 24) before pitching in 16 points and seven rebounds in a win at Anna Maria on Saturday (Jan. 27). She shot 56.5 percent (13-for-23) from the floor this week.


WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Caitlyn Scott, Albertus Magnus - Contributed in a number of ways to Albertus Magnus' 2-0 GNAC week. Averaged 18.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 2.5 steals per game, while shooting 53.8 percent (14-for-26) from the field.

Rahmia Johnston, Elms - Produced a 17.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game in a pair of conference setbacks for Elms this week. Contributed a double-double against Albertus Magnus on Wednesday (Jan. 24) with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Yasmine Santos, Mitchell - Averaged a double-double with 22.0 points and 15.5 rebound per contest despite taking two losses in GNAC play. Scored 25 points and brought down 18 bourds against the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) on Wednesday (Jan. 24) before registering another double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds against Colby-Sawyer on Saturday (Jan. 27). Also averaged 2.5 steals per game.

Courtney Doherty, Regis - Averaged 18.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per contest as Regis dropped two conference games. Notched her first career double-double with 21 points and a career-high 11 rebounds against Emmanuel.
