#1 Seed St. Joseph's (Maine) and #6 Seed Emerson College will compete in the 2009 GNAC Men's Soccer Championship. The match will be played on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 1:00 PM on the campus of St. Josephs (Maine) in Standish, Maine. GNAC Rookies of the Week: October 27
Kyle Buscagila (Mens Soccer, Norwich), Christina Gallart (Womens Volleyball, Mount Ida), Samantha Gigliotti (Womens Soccer, Albertus Magnus), Kyle Harper (Mens Golf, Rhode Island College) and Jenna Reid (Womens Tennis, Emmanuel) have been named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookies of the Week.

Norwich Selected First in GNAC Mens Soccer Preseason Poll
Norwich earned the top spot in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Preseason Men's Soccer Coaches Poll, the conference office announced on Wednesday. The Cadets captured the 2008 GNAC championship after posting an 18-3-1 overall record and 8-0-1 GNAC record.

Changes For Emmanuel Mens Soccer
The 2009 season will bring a lot changes to the Emmanuel College mens soccer team. The Saints will finally be playing on their very own turf field, and they will be playing under the reign of head coach Colin Goin. After previous-head coach Julio Avila resigned, Goin, having assisted Avila the past two seasons, accepted the head coaching position at Emmanuel.

Norwich Senior Kyle Przekaza Named NSCAA Scholar Athlete
Norwich University men's soccer player Kyle Przekaza was named to the NSCAA Scholar All-East second team. The award goes to student-athletes who have excelled in both athletics and academics.

Norwich Senior Ryan Boyton Leads Six GNAC Players Onto 2008 NSCAA Men's Soccer All New England Team
Norwich senior forward Ryan Boyton earned second-team All New England honors and was one of five Great Northeast Athletic Conference players named to the 2008 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Men's Soccer All New England Region team.

The Norwich University men's soccer team saw its season come to an end on Sunday afternoon, dropping a heart-breaking 1-0 decision to Middlebury in the NCAA regionals. The Cadets close their impressive 2008 campaign with an 18-3-1 overall record.

Norwich Men's Soccer Advances to NCAA Regional Final
MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - Rob Harlow scored the lone goal of the game off a feed from Jake Yaris early in the second half to propel the Norwich University men's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Clark. The Cadets now advance to face Middlebury in the NCAA Regional on Sunday, Nov. 16, at 1 p.m.

Norwich Men's Soccer Captures 2008 GNAC Title
NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Kyle Przekaza and Ryan Boyton tallied goals, and Charles Maxwell stopped two of the three shots he faced to lead the Norwich University men's soccer team to a 2-1 win over St. Joseph's (Maine) in the GNAC Tournament championship game on Saturday morning at Howard Field.

Norwich men's soccer team picked up four of the five major yearly awards for the 2008-2009 season.

Norwich University Mens Soccer Picked #1 in GNAC Preseason Poll
The Norwich Cadets earned the number one spot in the 2008 Great Northeast Athletic Conference mens soccer coaches preseason poll. The Cadets earned seven first place votes for a total of 79 points to put themselves just ahead of Johnson & Wales and Lasell.

Johnson & Wales Men's Soccer Captures 2007 GNAC Championship
Northfield, Vt. Junior Jeremiah Schenzel (Carson City, Nev.) was named the Most Valuable Player after leading the Johnson & Wales mens soccer team to a 2-1 overtime victory against Norwich in the 2007 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship on the road on Saturday afternoon. The win is the fourth GNAC Championship for the Wildcats in the last six years and earns the team a bid to the 2007 NCAA Division III Championship.
