PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Remijo Wani, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (So., F)

Sophomore Remijo Wani led the Monks to clinching the top-seed in this year's tournament berth as the Portland, Maine native averaged 22 points per game on an outstanding 70.4% from the floor, including 54.5% from downtown, with 7.5 rebounds and five assists per game. Wani started this week with a double-double in 27 minuts of action, collecting 21 points on 10-for-13 shooting and snagging 11 rebounds while dishing out six assists in the Monks' home victory over Norwich. The sophomore followed up on Senior Day with 23 points on 9-for-14 from the floor, 15 of them from three (5-for-8), with four rebounds and assists apiece to lift the Monks over Dean to secure the No. 1 seed in this week's upcoming GNAC Men's Basketball Tournament while riding on a 15 game winning streak.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Silvano Ismail, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Fr., G)

First-year Silvano Ismail finished the regular season strong for Saint Joseph's (Maine) as he averaged 18 points on 61.9% from the field and 57.1% from three along with 8.5 rebounds, seven assists, and 2.5 steals to help the Monks clinch the top seed in the postseason tournament. Ismail started his week with 20 points on 7-for-10 shooting while collecting eight rebounds/assists apiece and two steals in a home victory to Norwich. The Portland, Maine native followed on the Monks' senior day with 16 points on 6-for-11 from the floor with nine rebounds, six assists, and three steals to seal the victory over Dean.


WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Ja'maine Davenport, Dean - Averaged 20.7 points a game with five rebounds in a 2-1 week for the Bulldogs. Had 29 points and eight rebounds against Mitchell and followed up with 24 points in regular season finale against Saint Joseph's (Maine).

Mahari Guerrier, Emmanuel - Put up 23.5 points on 72% from the floor (57.1% from three) with 5.5 rebounds a game in a 1-1 week for the Saints. Had 20 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks vs New England College and finished the season strong with 27 points in win against Anna Maria.

Marcus Lewis, Lasell - Led the Lasers to an undefeated week with 19 points (56% from the floor; 50% from three) and 9.5 rebounds a game. Had a 14 point, 10 rebound double-double in a huge victory over the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) and closed out the regular season with 24 points, nine rebounds, and three steals on the road at Elms.

Kohlby Murray, Norwich - Averaged 26.5 points on 51.4% (FGs), 53.3% (3PTs), and 100% (FTs), along with seven rebounds, three assists, and 2.5 steals in a 1-1 week. Had 18 points (four treys) on the road against Saint Joseph's (Maine) and followed up with a dominant Senior Day performance with a career-high 35 points and 11 rebounds to collect the double-double with four assists and four steals to close out regular season play.

Jalen Olivero, Norwich - Tallied 22.5 points with eight boards, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals. Started the week against SJC with 18 points, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals and finished on Senior Day with a career-best 27 points with 12 rebounds to secure a double-double against Mitchell.

Russell Rau, Regis - Put up averages of 21.5 points a game with six rebounds and 1.5 blocks in a 2-0 week to close out the season. Had 11 points, five rebounds, four assists with a steal/block apiece in win over Colby-Sawyer before closing his collegiate career with 32 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks in a road win over JWU.
