PLAYER OF THE WEEK Ray Carter, Anna Maria (Jr., G) Junior guard Ray Carter delivered for the Amcats in a huge home GNAC victory in their lone game this past week. The East Longmeadow, Mass. native collected a 24-point and 10 assist double-double in a 85-82 overtime victory over Albertus Magnus, contributing to 11 of the 14 Anna Maria points in overtime to seal the deal. Carter is fifth in the GNAC currently in total assists with 92. |

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Silvano Ismail, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Fr., G) First-year Silvano Ismail was critical for the Monks in their 2-0 week in conference play as the Portland, Maine native averaged 19.5 ppg on 54.2% from the floor with 7.5 rpg, 3.5 apg, and 1.5 spg. Ismail started his week strong as he put up 21 points, going 7-for-13, while hauling down eight rebounds, collecting four assists and two steals against Emmanuel before scoring 18 points on 6-for-11 shooting while collecting seven boards and three assists over Mitchell. He remains second in field goal percentage in the conference at 58.1% and sits at #31 in DIII. |
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Ta'zhon Daniels, Albertus Magnus - Averaged 21.5 points a game with 4.5 steals in a 1-1 week. Put up 31 points and eight steals in a OT loss to Anna Maria.
Che Hanks, Lasell - Posted a season-high 24 points along with six assists and two steals in win over Norwich.
Jalen Olivero, Norwich - Led the Cadets offensively in a 1-1 week, first shooting 61.5% from the floor with four three-pointers to finish with 22 points in a victory over New England College, handing Head Coach Paul Booth his 400th-career victory in the process. A few days later, Olivero paced the Cadets with 21 points and four steals in a road game at Lasell. On the week, he averaged 21.5 points on a 48.5% clip with 2.5 steals.
Russell Rau, Regis - Averaged 26 points a game on 51.7% shooting, 45.5% from downtown, along with nine rebounds per game. Secured a 33 point, 13 rebound double-double with three blocks against Elms and put up 19 points with five boards against Albertus Magnus.
Kyler Bosse, Rivier - Paced the Raiders offensively with 26.5 points a game and 6.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week. Put up a 32 point, nine rebound performance against Colby-Sawyer before following up with 21 points and four rebounds against Dean.
