PLAYER OF THE WEEK Russell Rau, Regis (Sr., F) Senior Forward Russell Rau went off for the Pride this week, averaging 31.5 points per game on 71.9% from the floor (63.2% from three) and 14.5 rebounds per game with 2.5 steals and collecting two conference wins for Regis. The Westminster, Mass. native started his week strong with 33 points, nine rebounds, and two steals/blocks apiece in a home victory over Emmanuel. Rau followed up with a monster 30 point and 20 rebound performance on Regis’ senior day victory over Lasell, producing his seventh double-double of the season. He collected seven assists and three steals in that game as well. Rau is currently top-three in the conference in scoring, rebounds, and double-doubles. |

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Silvano Ismail, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Fr., G) First-Year Guard Silvano Ismail guided the Monks to a 2-0 week in conference play, averaging 23.5 points per game on 68% from the floor with five rebounds, 5.5 assists, and two steals a game. The Portland, Maine native collected 19 of his game-high 23 points in the second half in a road victory over New England College while collecting five rebounds and assists apiece. Ismail followed up on Saturday afternoon at home against Anna Maria with 24 points, five rebounds, six assists, and four steals in 28 minutes of action. He is currently second in the conference in field goal percentage (58.6%). |
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Ray Ford, Albertus Magnus - Averaged 20 points a game on a ridiculous 65% from the floor and 77.8% from downtown. Had six rebounds a game and three steals a game. Put up 11 points and two steals in win over Elms and followed up with a career-high 29 points on 9-for-12 shooting in win over Norwich with eight rebounds and four steals.
Damani Williams, Emmanuel - Averaged 22.0 points this past week, shooting 50% from the floor. Scored 17 points on road at Regis and later set a career-high 27 points in a home overtime victory over Dean.
Esmer Madesko, Lasell - Averaged 25.5 on an absurd 77.3% from the field with six rebounds, five assists, and three steals a game in a 1-1 week. Had 27 points (10-for-12), eight rebounds, six assists, and three steals in home victory over Rivier. Followed up with 24 points, four rebounds/assists and three steals on the road at Regis.
Jaylyn Clardy, Mitchell - Averaged 21.5 points per game, 4.5 rebounds, and two steals per contest. Began the week with a 19 point, six rebound, and three steal performance on the road against the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) and later poured in 24 points in a home win over Colby-Sawyer, adding three rebounds, two assists, and a steal.
Eddie Volkerts, Mitchell - Averaged a 17 point, 10 rebound double-double and added 4.5 assists and two steals per contest, while shooting 50% (14-28) from the floor. Began the week with a double-double on the road against the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.), finishing with 22 points (10-for-17 shooting), 10 rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Capped the week by netting 12 points and pulling down 10 boards in a home win over Colby-Sawyer, collecting his seventh double-double of the season. Added five assists and a pair of steals as well.
Owen Liss, Norwich - Posted a pair of 20-plus-point performances in a 1-1 week for the Cadets. He first shot 63.6% from the floor and 7-9 from the line to pour in 22 points with 12 rebounds, five assists, and a steal in a double-digit victory at Colby-Sawyer. Liss followed that up with a near-perfect 9-for-10 mark to tally 23 points against Albertus Magnus, adding seven boards. He finished with 22.5 points on a 76.2% shooting clip across both games, alongside 9.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists.
