PLAYER / ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Sophia Jacques, Saint Joseph's (Me.) (Fr., M - Peru, Maine)

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK

Mikayla Lyston, Albertus Magnus (Fr., GK - Medford, N.Y.)

Lyston continued her standout rookie season on Saturday against Simmons, making 28 saves in a complete-game effort despite the 5-0 loss for an .858 save percentage. The freshman held the Sharks to just one goal over the first 30+ minutes, keeping the game close until the final 10 minutes. On the season, Lyston has tallied four 20-plus save games and she leads the country in saves per game.

WEEK 8 HONOR ROLL

Jillian Miele, Johnson & Wales (RI) (So., F - Wilmington, Mass.) - Miele guided Johnson & Wales to a 1-1 week, which included a tough battle against conference foe Rivier University. Against the Raiders, Miele helped the Wildcats increase position amongst GNAC standings, moving up into to a tie for third, registering a pair of goals and an assist for five points in the 5-3 victory at home.

Sheridan Blaha, Regis (Mass.) (Fr., F - Waltham, Mass.) - Blaha once again led the Pride offensively over the past week. Thursday, she tied the match against Mount Holyoke at 1-1 with her 12th goal of the season. In that match, she led Regis with three total shots, including two shots on goal. Saturday, she scored the first goal of the match five-and-a-half minutes into the contest, which proved to be the game-winning goal. It also tied the Regis record for most goals in a single season at 13. Later in the first quarter, she earned her first assist of the season for her 27th point of the year, breaking the school record for most points in a season. Blaha led the Pride with eight total shots, including seven shots on goal. Blaha is now second in the GNAC in goals and tied for second in total points.

Jamie Juskiewicz, Regis (Mass.) (Jr., F - Gorham, Maine) - Juskiewicz played a key role in Regis' first conference victory of the season. She scored two goals against Colby-Sawyer, with the first coming late in the first quarter to give the Pride a 2-0 cushion. Her second goal of the day came late in the third quarter to add more insurance to the Regis lead. It was the first multiple-goal game of her career and helped her establish a new personal best for most goals in a season at Regis with four.

Hope Winkin, Regis (Mass.) (Jr., GK - Winslow, Maine) - Hope Winkin had a busy week, especially Thursday. Winkin made 13 saves against a high-powered Mount Holyoke squad, five more saves than she had made in any other match this season. It was just one off her career high and the fourth time she had made at least 11 saves in a match in her career. Saturday, she made three saves to earn a shutout against Colby-Sawyer, her third shutout of the season. Winkin is now tied for fourth in the GNAC with 71 saves.

Maggie Fuzak, Simmons (Jr., M - Buffalo, N.Y.) - In the Sharks only match of the week, the junior matched her career-high with three points on a goal and an assist at Albertus Magnus College on October 19. The midfielder found the back of the cage vs. the Falcons for the game-winning tally.
