GNAC Men's Volleyball Athlete of the Week Report #12

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Theo Zaharewicz, Lasell (Jr., OH)

Lasell junior Theo Zaharewicz helped Lasell close out the regular season with a pair of GNAC sweeps by averaging 3.67 kills per set and hitting .452. He started the week with eight kills in a 3-0 sweep of Regis, while also recording two service aces. He then finished 14 attacks in a 3-0 victory over Emmanuel. He averaged 4.2 points per set across the two wins.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Collin Liedke, Elms (Gr., L/DS)

Graduate student Collin Liedke was a presence both at the net and in the back row for Elms this week. He averaged 5.45 digs per set and recorded at least one block in each match. His dig totals were in the double-digits for all three of his matches, including a 30-dig showing in a four-setter against Emerson. In total he had 60 digs and five blocks on the week.

SETTER OF THE WEEK

Josh Milke, Wentworth (Jr., S)

Junior setter Josh Milke helped Wentworth wrap up the regular season with a three-win week. He averaged 11.50 assists per set, including huge numbers against Endicott and Rivier. He dished out 48 helpers against the Gulls to open the week as the Leopards took a 3-1 result. After playing only one set of a 3-0 sweep of Regis, he closed out the regular season with 39 assists in a 3-0 victory over Rivier.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Nick Uschmann, Elms (Fy., RS)

First-year right side Nick Uschmann put together a strong offensive showing to close out the regular season for Elms. He averaged 3.09 kills per set, while hitting .298. He also had at least one block per contest. He had double-digit kills against both Dean and Emerson with 10 and 15, respectively and also contributed five blocks against the Lions.


WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Pedro De Jesus, Elms - Averaged 4.00 kills per set in a 1-2 week for Elms, while hitting .235. Also had three aces on the week.

Louis Da Silva, Emmanuel - Recorded four blocks in both contests for Emmanuel this week. The two three-set matches gave him a 1.33 blocks per set average.

Michael Shelley, Emmanuel - Hit .333 in a 1-1 week for Emannuel, averaging 5.00 kills per set in the process. Recorded double-digit kill numbers in both matches.

Jesus Garcia, Lasell - Averaged 10.67 assists per set this week in two matches for Lasell. Had 28 helpers in a three-set win over Regis before handing out 36 in a sweep of Emmanuel.

Neil Rea, Rivier - Averaged 9.54 assists per set as Rivier closed out the regular season with a 3-1 week. Eclipsed the 30-assist mark three times, while also contributing 1.08 kills, 2.23 digs, and 0.46 blocks per set.

Jacob LaBouliere, Wentworth - Averaged 3.44 kills per set, while swining .519 in a 3-0 week for Wentworth. had two double-digit kill showings and five total aces on the week.
