OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Michael Shelley, Emmanuel (So., OH)

Sophomore outside hitter Michael Shelley was unstoppable for Emmanuel in its 3-0 GNAC sweep of Elms on Wednesday (March 13). He finished the match with 20 kills for a 6.67 kills per set average and swung at a .548 rate. He also recorded four service aces in the match, resulting in a 8.0 points per set average.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Orlando Plagata, Regis (Gr., OH)

Graduate student Olando Plagata paced the backline for Regis this week in the Pride’s four matches. He averaged 2.31 digs per set, producing two double-digit dig performances. He recorded 11 digs in a four-set loss to Stevenson before picking up 16 attacks against King’s in another four-setter. The 16 digs were his second-highest match total this season.

SETTER OF THE WEEK

Josh Milke, Wentworth (Jr., S)

Junior setter Josh Milke continued his strong play running the Wentworth offense as he averaged 11.50 assists per set in two victories for the Leopards. Milke played two sets against Regis in a GNAC sweep of the Pride on Wednesday (March 13) before dishing out 52 helpers in a four-set win over NYU on Sunday (March 17). Milke also helped out defensively with three blocks on the week.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Declan Morrison, Emmanuel (Fy., MB)

First-year middle blocker Declan Morrison put together a solid performance for Emmanuel this week as it swept both ends of a doubleheader against Fisher. He averaged 3.20 kills per set with a .519 hitting percentage making only one attach error in each match. He also picked up a block assists in each contest, helping contribute to his 3.8 points per set.
