GNAC Men's Basketball Report: Week 10

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Jack Casale, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (So., G - Portland, Maine)

Casale averaged 28.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in a 1-1 week, which included a key road win over GNAC preseason poll favorite Johnson & Wales, while registering 53/47/72% shooting clips. He had a 20-point, 10-rebound double-double with seven assists against the NESCAC's Bowdoin (10-5 overall) before going off for 37 points (12-18 FG, 5-7 3PT, 8-11 FT) and nine boards in the 102-94 GNAC victory over the Wildcats on Saturday.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Davon Warner, Albertus Magnus (Fr., G - New Haven, Conn.)

Warner averaged 24.0 points and 5.0 rebounds across 25.5 minutes per game while shooting 47.2% (17-36 FG) overall, including 12-of-25 (48%) from three-point range in a 1-1 week. He poured in a career-high 26 points to go along with four rebounds in a loss to the NESCAC's Middlebury (14-5 overall) before recording 22 points, six rebounds and three assists in 24 minutes during an 84-81 GNAC road win over Colby-Sawyer. 

WEEK 10 HONOR ROLL
Emmett Riddick, Emmanuel (Mass.) (Jr, G - Middletown, Conn.) - In Emmanuel's lone game of the week – an 83-62 win over Regis – Riddick scored 18 points (7-11 FG, 2-3 3PT, 2-2 FT) to go with seven rebounds and four assists as the Saints improved to 3-0 in the GNAC for the first time since 2011-12.

Jesse Davis, Norwich (So., G/F - Woodinville, Wash.) - Davis averaged 20.5 points while shooting 45/53/100% in a two-game week, highlighted by a career-high 29-point effort (10-18 FG, 7-13 3PT)  against NEC on Thursday.  

Jordan Seldon, Regis (Mass.) (Sr., F - Dorchester, Mass.) - With three games in five days last week for the Pride, Seldon averaged 13.0 points and 3.3 rebounds in just 21.0 minutes per contest. He shined in Regis' lone win over that stretch, registering 20 points (6-14 FG, 8-11 FT) and six rebounds in a 73-63 win over Lasell on Saturday.

Chris Childs, St. Joseph (Conn.) (Fr., G - Bronx, N.Y.) - The rookie averaged 21.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in just 24.5 minutes per game while shooting 52/42/67% in a 2-0 GNAC week for the Blue Jays, who are now 11-8 and 2-3 in conference play. Childs had 15 points and four boards in just 20 minutes of action in an 82-67 win over Lasell before going off for 27 points (10-18 FG, 6-13 3PT) to go with six rebounds and three assists in a 78-60 victory over Norwich. 

Steven DiPrizio, Suffolk (Jr., F - Medford, Mass.) - In a 2-0 week, the junior averaged 18.0 points and 10.5 rebounds while shooting 50/50/83% overall. DiPrizio went off in a 91-77 overtime victory at Western New England, registering 25 points (7-13 FG, 11-12 FT) to go with 14 rebounds.
