GNAC Men's Basketball Report: Week 6

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Justin Bullock, Johnson & Wales (RI) (So., G - Spring Valley, N.Y.)

Bullock had a career-night against No. 18 Nichols, scoring a career-high 30 points on 11-of-23 shooting, including 5-of-10 from three-point range. He also grabbed a career-best 10 rebounds for his first collegiate double-double.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Noreaga Davis, St. Joseph (Conn.) (Fr., G/F - Bridgeport, Conn.)

Davis helped the Blue Jays pick up their sixth win of the season, 65-55, over Castleton on Saturday afternoon at home in USJ's lone game of the week. The 6-4 product finished with nine points (3-6 FG) and a game-high ten rebounds, including seven on the offensive glass, in 27 minutes of floor time. 


WEEK 6 HONOR ROLL
Charlie Reeve, Colby-Sawyer (New London, N.H.) - The Chargers officially welcomed the 12-year-old last Wednesday as the newest member of the Chargers family through Team IMPACT. Surrounded by Colby-Sawyer men's basketball players, family and friends, Charlie signed his Letter of Intent to join the program as part of his Draft Day celebration. 

Patrick Coffey, Colby-Sawyer (Jr, G - Westford, Mass.) - Coffey led the Chargers with 17.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists while shooting 50% (15-30 FG, 4-10 3PT) in a 1-1 week. He began the week by tying a Colby-Sawyer record by making all nine of his field goal attempts for 20 points with seven boards in an 87-75 win over NVU-Lyndon. In a tough loss to NEC (7-1), Coffey led the team with 15 points and added five rebounds and four assists. 

Emmett Riddick, Emmanuel (Mass.) (Jr, G - Middletown, Conn.) - Riddick scored a season-high 23 points to power Emmanuel past UMass Boston, 89-75, to close out the semester. Riddick was 8-for-12 from the floor including 3-for-5 from downtown over 34 minutes of action, adding three assists in the win to help EC close that semester with a 7-3 record, the best in program history at the break.

Joe Tamburro, Emmanuel (Mass.) (Sr, G) - Tamburro closed the semester out with a 21-point effort in Emmanuel's 89-75 win over UMass Boston. The senior was 7-for-11 from the field (63.6%), connecting on 3-of-5 attempts from downtown. Tamburro added six rebounds in 24 minutes of action.

Ian Mileikis, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Senior, G - Auburn, Maine) - Mileikis netted 26 points while shooting 73.3% (11-15) from the field in a see-saw victory over UMaine-Farmington on Thursday night. The senior guard added five rebounds and four assists and became the 40th player in team history to score 1,000 career points with his 23rd point in the triumph.
