WEEK 9 HONOR ROLL

Sam Mitchell, Colby-Sawyer (Sr, GK - Chester, NH) - Mitchell posted seven saves, a pair of victories and a clean sheet in a 2-0 week for the Chargers against GNAC opponents. The senior keeper began the week with a 5-save effort to earn her second shutout of the season. Mitchell ended the week with a pair of saves to preserve an important 2-1 win over Albertus Magnus.

Kaylin Deschenes, Emmanuel (Mass.) (Sr, D - Lynn, Mass.) - Deschenes, the reigning GNAC Defensive Player of the Year, exploded for a huge offensive week with seven points on three goals and one assist in a 2-0 week for Emmanuel. The senior captain posted all seven points in EC's 9-1 win over Anna Maria as she netting a hat trick to go along with one assist. Along with the offensive output, her defensive presence helped the Saints post a 1.00 goals against average over the two victories.

Abba McKenelley, Emmanuel (Mass.) (Sr, M - Middleton, Mass.) - McKenelley put together the best week of her senior campaign, registering five points on two goals and one assist in a 2-0 week for the Saints. The 2017 GNAC First Team All-Conference selection came up huge in Emmanuel's 2-1 road win at USJ, scoring both goals including a late game-winner and then added an assist in EC's win over Anna Maria College.

Olivia Cairrao, Johnson & Wales (RI) (Jr., M - Bristol, R.I.) - Cairrao lead Johnson & Wales to a 1-1 week, which included a 2-1 win over conference foe Regis on Wednesday evening. Against the Pride, Cairrao scored the game-winner, finding the back of the net three minutes into the second overtime period for her, team-leading, 18th goal of the season - a new season-best.

Karyssa Lachance, Norwich (So., F - Gorham, N.H.) - Lachance scored three goals and had an assist for seven points on the week to lead the Cadets' offense. She scored twice in a big 5-1 win over Anna Maria on Tuesday. She scored again in a loss vs. Regis and also tallied an assist in Sunday's loss to UMaine Fort Kent. Lachance accounts for 31 of Norwich's 74 points this season with 15 goals and an assist.

Ori Attridge, Regis (Mass.) (So., GK - Westwood, Mass.) - Attridge was extremely busy in net for the Pride over the past week. Wednesday night, she collected a career-high 17 saves against Johnson & Wales, giving her team a chance to tie the match and force overtime. Attridge made 11 saves in the second half alone to prevent the Wildcats from pulling away with the contest. Saturday night, she made five saves as well as a significant play late in the first half to prevent the Cadets from tying the match before halftime. It was her fifth victory of the season as Regis defeated Norwich, 4-1.

Kaylee Francis, Regis (Mass.) (So., F - Millis, Mass.) - Francis led the Regis offense as it played two important conference matches last week. Wednesday night at Johnson & Wales, she scored the game-tying goal with 30 minutes remaining in the second half in a match that was not decided until the second overtime period. She led the Pride with four shots, all of them on goal. Saturday night, just 3:36 into the second half, she scored on a breakaway to reestablish a two-goal advantage for Regis on its way to a 4-1 victory. Once again, she led the team with six shots, five of them on net. For the second straight year, Francis is close to the Regis single-season points record with 25 points, three shy of the mark, entering the regular-season finale.

Kayley Mattos, Saint Joseph's (Me.) (Sophomore, F - Mahopac, N.Y.) - Mattos netted both of the Monks' goals in a 2-1 overtime victory over Johnson & Wales on Saturday. Her PK tally in OT effectively ended the Wildcats' 12-game winning streak and extended the Monks' undefeated streak to nine contests.

Melanie Colman, Simmons (First Year, GK - Holliston, Mass.) - The keeper allowed more than a goal just once in three different matches and posted a 0.90 goals against average in 300:13 minutes of action, while stopping 21 shots for a .875 save percentage. She also posted her third shutout of the season. The first year began the week by turning away 15 of 17 shots in a 2-1 overtime loss at host Rhode Island College on October 21. Colman recorded a two-save shutout at Rivier University on October 23 and capped the week with four saves in a 2-1 double-overtime victory over University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) on October 26.
