GNAC Women's Basketball Report: Week 6

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Rah-Rah Thompson, Albertus Magnus (Sr., C - Bridgeport, Conn.)

Thompson posted an 18-point, 17-rebound double-double in the Falcons' only game of the week, a 67-58 win over Mitchell. She was 9-of-18 (50%) from the floor and posted three assists while playing all 40 minutes. 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Kyah Nowlin, Albertus Magnus (Fr., G - Stamford, Conn.) 

Nowlin put up eight points and five rebounds in 24 minutes of action in the Falcons' aforementioned nine-point win over Mitchell last week. She was 3-for-8 from the floor, including 2-of-6 from three-point territory. 


WEEK 6 HONOR ROLL

Shyla Osmond, Albertus Magnus (Sr., G - New Haven, Conn.) - In Albertus' 67-57 home win over Mitchell last Tuesday, Osmond was 6-of-11 (54.5%) from the floor for 14 points to go with 13 rebounds, five assists and just one turnover across 30 minutes of action. It marked her sixth straight double-double.

Tianna Sugars, Colby-Sawyer (Sr, C - Oxford, Maine) - On the team's two-game Puerto Rico trip, Sugars averaged 13.0 points and 8.5 rebounds for the Chargers, who dropped contests against Loras and Oneonta. The senior had 15 points (6-12 FG) and three boards versus Loras before double-doubling (11 PTS, 14 REB) in the Oneonta setback.
