GNAC Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week Report #4

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Peyton Meuse, Colby-Sawyer (So.)

Sophomore Peyton Meuse went 3-1 in the week for Colby-Sawyer as he competed in the No. 2 spots in both singles and doubles. He was perfect in singles play, cruising to a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2 against Albertus Magnus before coming back to win a three-set match against Roger Williams, 4-6, 6-4, 10-7. The win was the only point the Chargers registered against the Hawks. In doubles play he was able to knock off the Falcons top pair 8-0, but fell to the Hawks 8-4.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Sean Horgan, Norwich (Fr.)

Norwich freshman Sean Horgan contributed two points to the Cadets’ 7-2 victory over Vermont State Lyndon this week. First, he secured an 8-2 victory at No. 2 doubles before taking his No. 4 singles match in straight sets. He only dropped one game in singles play as he earned the 6-1, 6-0 result.
