PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Iker Rodriguez, Eastern Nazarene (So.)

Sophomore Iker Rodriguez earned a pair of straight-set singles victories for Eastern Nazarene this week as the Lions went 2-0 as a team. He opened the week playing at No. 3 against Vermont State Johnson, going 6-0, 6-0 in the match as ENC picked up a 9-0 sweep. He then moved to the No. 5 spot against Baruch. He defeated the Bearcats No. 5, 6-2, 6-2 as the Lions won the match 7-2.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Dmitrii Semenov, Eastern Nazarene (Fr.)

Freshman Dmitrii Semenov was at the top of the lineup in both singles and doubles play for Eastern Nazarene this week, producing a perfect 4-0 record individually. He was perfect in ENC’s 9-0 sweep of Vermont State Johnson as he won his doubles match 8-0 and won the first set in singles before his opponent retired. He followed that up with an 8-5 doubles win against Baruch. In singles, Semenov took the first set convincingly, 6-1, before edging out a 7-6 win to complete the straight-set win.
