GOALKEEPER & ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Vincent Conelli, Emmanuel (Mass.) (Fr, GK - West Hartford, Conn.) Conelli was almost able to slay "Goliath" in his collegiate debut, making 13 saves on 14 shots against #5/10 Saint Joseph's of Maine in the GNAC Quarterfinals Friday evening, as the top seed narrowly beat the No. 8 Saints. The rookie was nearly perfect, allowing just one goal to the potent Monks offense which has averaged 4.11 goals per game on the year. |
WEEK 9 HONOR ROLL
Ethan Sweet, Colby-Sawyer (So, F - Cornish, N.H.) - Sweet notched the game-winning goal in the Chargers' 2-0 GNAC quarterfinal victory over Albertus Magnus on Friday. The sophomore broke a scoreless tie in the 69th minute to send the Chargers to the GNAC semifinals in their first year with the league.
Mike Federico, Rivier (So, D - Milford, N.H.) - Federico has started 18 out of 19 matches and has played in several different positions to accommodate the teams needs. On October 25, he scored the game-winning goal for the Raiders' first win of the season.
