GNAC Field Hockey Report: Week 7

(FOR THE WEEK OF OCT. 8-14)

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Sam Taylor, Lasell (Jr., F - Hanover, Mass.)

Tallied three goals and three assists in a 2-1 week for the Lasers. She collected three assists in Lasell's 7-4 win at Clark University on Tuesday, scored Lasell's only goal in Thursday's 3-1 loss to Smith College, and tallied two goals, including the overtime game-winner Saturday in Lasell's only GNAC game, a 5-4 win over Rivier.

 

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK

Abby Ladd, Colby-Sawyer (So, GK - Colchester, Vt.)

Ladd earned the win as she played 64+ minutes in the cage in the Chargers' 4-0 win over Becker. She made one save and was credited with a shared shutout. 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Maegan Sheehy, Rivier (Fr, F - Sabattus, Maine)

Sheehy played an outstanding game against the top of the conference in Lasell, scoring two goals to help push the game into overtime in an eventual 5-4 setback.


WEEK 7 HONOR ROLL
Jillian Miele, Johnson & Wales (RI) (Fr, F - Wilmington, Mass.) - Miele had 13 points in a 1-1 week, registering four goals and three assists in a 13-0 home blowout of Dean.

Libby Pomerleau, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Junior, F - Limerick, Maine) - Pomerleau scored three goals, including the game-winner, in a victory at Johnson & Wales University on Saturday.
