GNAC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week Report #10

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Marinique Reddin, Anna Maria (Sr., F)

Senior Forward Marinique Reddin put up immensely impressive numbers for the Amcats, averaging 32.5 points a game with 13 rebounds in a 1-1 week in GNAC play. The Tampa, Florida native started her week with a 30 point, 16 rebound double-double in a setback to Rivier while also dropping three dimes. She followed up with a 35 point, 10 rebound double-double in a victory over Lasell while also collecting four assists, two steals, and three blocks. Reddin now has five double-doubles on the year and is third in points (409) and points per game (22.7), which also currently places her top 10 in the nation and she is also fourth in the conference in total rebounds with 152.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Grace Jaffray, Johnson & Wales (Fr., F)

First-year Forward Grace Jaffray continues her sensational freshman campaign as she led the Wildcats to a 2-0 week in conference play. The Blue Hill, Maine native put up a 29 point, 12 rebound double-double in a huge victory at home over Albertus Magnus and followed up with a 32 point, 12 rebound game in a road victory over Colby-Sawyer while also collecting five steals for the Wildcats. On the week, Jaffray averaged 30.5 points with 12 rebounds and three steals. She is second in the conference in points (421) and points per game (24.8) which places her fifth and 10th in DIII.


WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Jakara Murray Leach, Albertus Magnus - Put up averages of 19 points and 7.5 rebounds a game in a 1-1 week. Collected a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds on 60% from the floor and 17 points with five rebounds and two steals in a victory over Rivier.

Amya Moss, New England College - Scored 22 points on 50% from the floor and adding five steals, six rebounds and three assists in a setback to Colby-Sawyer.

Jordyn Striggles, Regis- Averaged 18 points per game with 5.5 rebounds and three assists per game in a 1-1 week. Had 22 points, eight rebounds, and five assists in a win over Norwich and followed up with 14 points and three rebounds in a setback to USJ.

Lyric Grumblatt, Rivier - Scored 25 points a game and snagged 14 rebounds a game in a 1-1 week. Became the GNAC's Women's Basketball all-time leading scorer at Anna Maria, finishing with 23 points and also collecting 15 rebounds. Followed up with another double-double, producing 27 points and 13 rebounds in a setback to Albertus Magnus.

Jordan Ouellette, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Averaged 17.5 points and nine rebounds during a 1-1 week for USJ. Had 21 points and eight rebounds in a road setback to Emmanuel and collected a double-double in a road victory over Regis with 14 points and 13 rebounds, collecting three assists.
