PLAYER/ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Grace Jaffray, Johnson & Wales (Fr., F) First-year Forward Grace Jaffray led the Wildcats to a 2-1 week, earning her second Player of the Week honors and fourth Rookie of the Week honors. Jaffray put up 12 points and eight rebounds on Monday (Dec. 9) in a setback vs. Connecticut College to start the week. The Blue Hill, Maine native followed up against Fitchburg State with 24 points, six boards, and four steals in 27 minutes of their victory over the Falcons and finished her week strong with 32 points, nine boards, and five steals over Wentworth. Jaffray currently sits at sixth in the nation in both total points (226) and points per game (25.1) while placing 10th nationally in total field goals made (78). |
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Caitlyn Scott, Albertus Magnus - Put up 29 points per game and 3.7 rebounds per game for the Falcons in three contests. Scored 28 points against Trinity (Conn.) and collected four rebounds. Scored 27 points, four rebounds, and five assists against Coast Guard. Scored 32 points against Springfield and collected two steals. Scott surpassed 1,700 career points on the week.
Tyra Blye, Emmanuel - Produced 17 points, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals in a setback vs. Emerson.
Brianne Foley, Johnson & Wales - Averaged 15.3 points per game, 8.7 rebounds per game, and three assists per game in a 2-1 week for the Wildcats. Collected 16 points, five boards, and three assists vs Connecticut College. Followed up with 15 points, nine boards, three assists, and two steals in win over Fitchburg State. Collected double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds in win over Wentworth.
Abigail Lacy, New England College - Finished shy of a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds in 20 minutes of action in victory over Vermont State Johnson.
Kiley O'Brien, Norwich - Scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds in win over Vermont State Lyndon.
