PLAYER OF THE WEEK Jakara Murray-Leach, Albertus Magnus (Sr., G/F) Senior Guard/Forward Jakara Murray-Leach averaged 18.5 points on 63% from the floor and 12 rebounds with two steals a game in a pair of GNAC victories on the road this past week, leading the Falcons to 3-0 in conference play (8-6 overall). The Norwalk, Conn. native started the week off against Dean with a 20 point and 12 rebound double-double, going 66.7% from the floor while also collecting three steals defensively. The senior followed up with a 17 point, 12 rebound double-double over Lasell, going 58.3% from the field and moving up to fourth all-time in the program's history in scoring (1,592 points). Murray-Leach is currently third in the GNAC in total rebounds with 128. |

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Brianne Foley, Johnson & Wales (Fr., G) First-year Guard Brianne Foley led the Wildcats on both ends of the floor as Johnson and Wales (JWU) went 2-0 in GNAC play this past week. Foley collected a 17 point, 10 rebound double-double in a win over Emmanuel on Tuesday while chipping in two steals and a block defensively. The New Rochelle, N.Y. native followed up on Saturday with 22 points, seven boards, four dimes, and a steal/block apiece over Mitchell on the road. On the week, Foley averaged 19.5 points a game with 8.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and a block to bring JWU to 12-1 overall (3-0 in GNAC). |
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Caitlyn Scott, Albertus Magnus - Averaged 18.5 points a game with 5.5 rebounds and six assists a game. Had 16 points and five assists over Dean and followed with 21 points, eight boards, seven assists over Lasell. The senior guard eclipsed over 1,800 points in her career, moving her to third in the program's history.
Diamond White, Albertus Magnus - Averaged 19 points a game with a whopping 4.5 steals. Put up 18 points, five rebounds, four assists, and five steals against Dean and followed up with 20 points and four assists/steals apiece over Lasell.
Marinique Reddin, Anna Maria - Posted 24 points a game on 54.5% from the floor with 2.5 steals a game in a 2-0 week. Put up 17 points and three steals in a win over Norwich and notched 31 points on 60% shooting with five rebounds, four assists, and two steals in a win over Regis, lifting the Amcats to 3-0 in conference play (8-6 overall).
Blaize Mack, Lasell - Averaged 11.7 points a game, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.3 steals in just 17.7 minutes of action in a 2-1 week for the Lasers. Had a 12 point, 10 rebound double-double in just 18 minutes in a GNAC win over Colby-Sawyer, collecting three steals as well. Put up 19 points, eight rebounds, and two steals in a conference setback to Albertus Magnus.
N'Tai Teague - Put up an 18 point, 15 rebound double-double and collected five blocks in a conference setback to Johnson & Wales.
Gianna Donato, Rivier - Averaged 17 points a game on 59.4% from the floor (40% from three) in a 3-0 week. Scored 21 points on 81.8% against Elms, scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds against Emmanuel on the road, and finished with 16 points and two steals against New England College (NEC).
Lyric Grumblatt, Rivier- Scored 18 points a game with 6.3 rebounds and 1.7 steals a game in a 3-0 GNAC week for the Raiders. Had 15 points, six rebounds, and five assists in win over Elms. Put up 19 points and eight boards to help lead Rivier to their first program victory over Emmanuel and followed up with 20 points, five rebounds, and four steals in win over NEC. She surpassed her head coach Deanna Purcell '15 as the program's all-time leading scorer and now has 2,204 points in her collegiate career.
Grace Ramsdell, Saint Joseph's (Maine) - Averaged 18.5 points a game on 51.7% from the floor with five boards and three assists in two GNAC victories. Started the week against Regis with 21 points on 8-for-12 and followed against Colby-Sawyer with 16 points and seven rebounds.
Jordan Ouellete, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Paced the Blue Jays during a perfect 2-0 week in GNAC play, averaging 19.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, two steals and 2.5 blocks per game. Started the week with 22 points, seven rebounds, a steal and three blocks in a road win at New England College and rounded out the week with 16 points, eight rebounds, three assists/steals apiece and two blocks in a home win against Norwich.
