GNAC Women's Soccer Athlete of the Week Report #7

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Sarah Dullaghan, Emmanuel (So., F)

Sophomore forward Sarah Dullaghan produced offensively for Emmanuel this week, registering nine points. She netted a goal and picked up two assists on Tuesday (Oct. 10) in a 5-1 victory over Elms. Then, Dullaghan scored once in a 2-1 victory over Colby-Sawyer on Saturday (Oct.14). Lastly, she scored and assisted once in a 3-0 victory over Norwich yesterday (Oct. 15). The sophomore forward is second in the GNAC in goals (11) and points (27).

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK

Gemma Landry, Mitchell (Jr., GK)

Junior goalkeeper Gemma Landry was dominant for the Mariners this week as she shut down her opponents at the net. Landry posted back-to-back shutout victories over both Anna Maria and Norwich, while recording nine saves in 180 minutes of action at the net. The junior goalkeeper is currently the leader in the GNAC in saves with 113.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Ciara Horan, Emmanuel (Fr., F)

First-year forward Ciara Horan registered seven points for the Saints last week. She scored once and added an assist in a 5-1 victory over Elms on Tuesday (Oct. 10). On Saturday (Oct. 14), she netted the game-winning goal for Emmanuel, while adding another assist in a 2-1 victory over Colby-Sawyer. Then, she added another assist yesterday (Oct. 15) in a 3-0 victory over Norwich.


WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Amy Stevens, Albertus Magnus - Collected 15 saves for the Falcons and a shutout in a 1-0-1 week.

Gaby Baker, Emmanuel - Collected 12 saves and a shutout for the Saints in a 3-0 week.

Lauren Moriarity, Johnson & Wales - Netted a hat trick against New England College and scored once more against Dean in a 2-1 week for the Wildcats.

Riley Silvia, Lasell - Converted on four saves and earned a shutout for the Lasers in a 2-0 victory over Rivier.

Morgan Fontaine, Mitchell - Registered five points for the Mariners from two goals and an assist in a 3-0 victory over Norwich.

Colleen Curran, Regis - Collected seven points for the Pride from a hat trick and assist in a 8-0 victory over Norwich.

Aaliyah WilsonFalcone, Saint Joseph's (Maine) - Netted a hat trick against New England College for six points.

Madison Corcoran, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) - Registered 11 saves and a shutout for the Blue Jays in a 1-0-1 week.
