TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Abdirizak Abukar, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (So.)

Saint Joseph’s (Maine) sophomore Abdirizak Abukar earned an individual first place honor at the Panther Invitational I this weekend, winning the 200m dash with a time of 22.72, which places him at No. 71 on the NCAA Division III Indoor Qualifying List. He also helped the Monks 4x400m relay team take top prize at the meet with a time of 3:26.52, which places it in the top-50 on the NCAA DIII Indoor Qualifying List. Abukar also ran the 60m dash at the event, placing fourth with a finals time of 7.29.

FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Pierre Paul Labossiere, Emmanuel (So.)

Emmanuel’s Pierre Paul Labossiere earned points in three events on Saturday (Jan. 20) at the Branwen Smith-King Invitational. His top placing performance was in the triple jump as he took fifth with a personal-best leap of 12.38m (40’7.5”). He also finished sixth in the high jump, clearing a height of 1.85m (6’0.75”). Finally, he set a new PR in the long jump with a mark of 6.06m (19’10.75”), which earned him eighth place at the event.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Tudum Monday, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Fr.)

Freshman Tudum Monday earned a pair of podium finishes at the Panther Invitational on Saturday (Jan. 20). He finished first in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.79, which set a new program record. He also registered a third place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 12.65m (41’6”). Monday also set a personal best in the high jump, clearing 1.60m (5’3”).


WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Chase Adams, Colby-Sawyer - Placed fourth in the 60m hurdles at the Branwen Smith-King Invitational with a time of 8.80.

Aiden Charles, Regis - Finished sixth in the weight throw with a personal-best mark of 14.61m (47'11.25").
