GNAC Men's Tennis Report: Week 2

( FOR THE WEEK OF MARCH 11-17 )

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Johnny Pallotta, Regis (Mass.)  (So. - Bay Shore, N.Y.)

Pallotta won both of his matches as Regis faced Roger Williams at the International Tennis Hall of Fame Indoor Courts. First, he joined with Nolan Bebarta at number one doubles for a tiebreaker victory. Pallotta then won the singles match in the third position, taking the first set, forcing the second set to a tiebreaker, and then winning the super-tiebreaker (6-3, 6-7 (4), 1-0 (10-8)). Pallotta is now 5-1 in the number three singles position so far in 2018-19. .  


WEEK 2 HONOR ROLL

Shariq Khan, Rutgers University-Camden (So. - Atlantic City, N.J.) - In the team's only match of the week, a 7-2 loss at Moravian Saturday, he posted both wins. Won 6-2, 6-1 at sixth singles and 8-2 at third doubles, teaming with Vincent Flores. He is now 2-0 in singles and 2-0 (with Flores) in doubles through the first two matches of the season.
