Lorenzen Brilliant in 2-0 Victory over Rivier

NASHUA, NH – Junior keeper Jaci Lorenzen (Windham, Maine) made 10 saves in a 2-0 shutout victory over Rivier University (3-9-2, 1-7-2 GNAC) in a GNAC women's soccer match on Saturday afternoon. Saint Joseph's improves to 6-4-2 overall and 3-4-2 in GNAC play with the triumph.

Sophomore Danielle Daigle (Dayton, Maine) scored in the 10th minute and Jen Keaney (Scituate, Mass.) added an insurance goal in the 88th minute to help lift the Monks to the important conference win.

Rivier held a 16-14 advantage in shots, including a 10-8 edge in shots on goal, and the sides registered three corner kicks apiece on the afternoon. Junior goalkeeper Cassandra Brown (Somersworth, N.H.) made six saves in a losing effort.

With the win, Saint Joseph's improves to 4-2 in the history of the series with Rivier University and snaps a two-game losing streak at the hands of the Raiders.
