SWIMMER OF THE WEEK

Katelyn Quinlan, Simmons (Sr.)

Senior Katelyn Quinlan led the Sharks to a sweep on Saturday’s (Jan. 6) quad dual meet with Regis, Elms, and Colby-Sawyer as she earned two of Simmons’ eight first-place victories. Quinlan’s first victory came in the 500-yard freestyle as she finished with a time of 5:41.02. Then, the senior earned her second victory in the 100 IM as Quinlan clocked a time of 1:08.45.

DIVER OF THE WEEK

Tess Kjoller, Colby-Sawyer (So.)

Sophomore Tess Kjoller competed in the one-meter diving event at the Simmons meet. Kjoller finished in the one-meter diving competition with a score of 194.75.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Kenzie Lowry, Simmons (Fr.)

First-year Kenzie Lowry helped Simmons in their quad-meet sweep. Lowry claimed first-place in the 50-yard breaststroke event, clocking a time of 36.24 seconds. Later on, the first-year secured third place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 59.77 and also helping the Sharks to a first-place finish in the 200-free relay to seal the victory.


WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Megan Miller, Regis – Earned an individual and team victory for the Pride during Simmons meet as the senior posted a time of 1:07.35 in the 100-yard backstroke and 50-yard back split of 31.19 seconds in the team’s 200-yard medley relay victory. Miller also finished second in the 50-yard backstroke in 31.24 seconds and third in the 100-yard individual medley with a time of 1:12.97.
