SWIMMER OF THE WEEK

DeAngela Fobbs, Elms (Sr.)

Senior DeAngela Fobbs broke a few records for the Blazers at the Regis Invitational. The senior touched the wall first four times and broke two school records and the Regis Pool record. Fobbs finished first on Friday (Dec. 1) and broke the 50-yard (26.86) and 100-yard (1:00.06) fly records in which the 50-yard fly also broke a Regis pool record. The next day, Fobbs touched the wall first in the 100-yard (55.07) and 200-yard (2:03.08) freestyles.

DIVER OF THE WEEK

Reilly Laitala, Norwich (So.)

Sophomore Reilly Laitala competed against divers from all three division levels (I, II, and III) and performed well for the Cadets in the Gompei Invitational at WPI. Laitala posted a score of 318.25 in the 1-meter diving competition to finish 15th out of 25 divers.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Bee Eckels, Simmons (Fr.)

First-year Bee Eckels competed at the MIT Invitational for the Sharks. Eckels swam and eclipsed her personal best-times twice in the 200-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard IM with times of 2:46.66 and 2:28.76.


WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Brandy Lewis, Colby-Sawyer – Finished first twice for the Chargers in the 500-yard freestyle (5:33.36) and the 1650-yard freestyle (18:48.78).

Olivia Luhnau, Regis – Finished first three times for the Pride in the 50-yard breaststroke (34.06), 50-yard freestyle (26.24), and the 100-yard individual medley (1:05.49), which were all season-best times.
