The inductees were announced at the 2012 GNAC Professional Development Seminar and become just the second class to earn the conference’s highest honor. This year’s inductees include Ellen Boss of Emerson College, Annemarie Proto of Johnson & Wales University and Stacy Manfredi of the University of Saint Joseph (CT).

    WENHAM, MA – The Saint Joseph's College (33-7, 23-3 GNAC) softball team claimed the program's second-consecutive Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship with a 6-2 victory over top-seeded Emerson College (32-9, 24-2 GNAC) at Gordon College on Sunday afternoon.

    WENTHAM, Mass. – With Alexandra Magistro going off the chain for three home runs to tie a GNAC record and hold second in NCAA records, the Emerson Softball Team unleashed its potent offense to open the GNAC Quarterfinals Friday taking a 17-0 (5) win from Saint Joseph's of Connecticut. Kelsey Tuthill pitched a gem, giving up one hit and striking out seven in what otherwise was a perfect game to move to 16-2 on the year while the Lions improve to 31-7 overall.

The Emerson College Lions will clinch the top seed in the playoffs with an incredible conference record of 24-2, and overall record of 26-10. The Lions played a spectacular regular season, earning a key victory over conference rival #2 St. Joseph’s ME and a sweep of #3 seeded Simmons.

(17-21, 12-14 GNAC), winning the opener 2-0 and completing the sweep with an 8-0 mercy-rule triumph in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) softball action at Richard W. Bailey Field on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore pitcher Theresa Hendrix (Scarborough, Maine/Cheverus) tossed a perfect game and fanned three batters in the first contest.

With the pair of wins, Pine Manor improves to 7-13 overall and in the conference.

Bailey Field on Monday afternoon. The Monks opened with a 9-1 triumph and completed the sweep with an 11-1 victory.

    BOSTON, Mass. – Nasty pitching and an offense that swung .411 as a team blazed the way Friday afternoon as the Emerson Softball team kicked open their 2012 home and GNAC slate with 8-0 (6) and 6-1 wins over the Suffolk Rams. Kelsey Tuthill and Alexandra Magistro took the wins on the day to move to 4-1 and 3-3 on the year as the Lions improve to 7-5 overall and 2-0 in the GNAC.
