SWIMMER OF THE WEEK

Martin Adlianitski, Norwich (Jr.)

Junior Martin Adlianitski made history during Norwich's Senior Day win over Plymouth State on Saturday (Jan. 20), opening up the day on the men's side by swimming the first leg of the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 24.93, leading the Cadets to victory. He followed that a few events later by breaking the pool record in the 200-yard freestyle in dominant fashion, swimming a 1:45.53. The senior scooped up another individual victory in the 500-yard freestyle (4:56.96), before swimming the final leg of the 200-yard freestyle relay team, which broke the pool record on a 1:28.49 effort.

DIVER OF THE WEEK

Aidan Grady, Norwich (Sr.)

Senior Aidan Grady showed out on his senior day for the Cadets in diving events. Grady first tallied a 252.67 score in the one-meter diving six opt, which was over 80 points better than his closest competitor. Grady followed that later on in the day by posting a 154.50 effort in the five vol, which was over 60 points better than second-place.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Kristian Adlianitski, Norwich (Fr.)

First-year Kristian Adlianitski won every event that he was a part of for Norwich in their lone meet against Plymouth State. He first swam the final and fastest leg (22.13) of the 200-yard medley relay team, which took first. He followed that with a first-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle (22.67), and again took first in the 200-yard breaststroke on a 2:19.87 time. Adlianitski closed the day by swimming the second leg of the 200-yard freestyle relay, which not only took first but also broke a pool record on a 1:28.49 final time.
