SWIMMER OF THE WEEK

Carli Quinlan, Simmons (Jr.)

Junior Carli Quinlan captured a pair of first place finishes for Simmons in a non-conference dual meet against Mount Holyoke College on Saturday afternoon. In the 50-yard butterfly, Quinlan secured first place with a time of 26.83 - just three tenths of a second from her personal best time. Later in the meet, the Haverhill, Mass. native captured first place in the 200-yard IM clocking a personal-best time of 2:20.44.

DIVER OF THE WEEK

Reilly Laitala, Norwich (Jr.)

Junior Reilly Laitala swept the competition in Norwich's Senior Day meet against Elms, first capturing the 1 meter diving 6 optional with a 188.10 score. The Sterling, Mass. native scooped up her second individual victory of the day later in the 1 meter diving 5 voluntary, tallying a 145.00 effort.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Kali Taylor, Regis (Fr.)

First-year Kali Taylor finished first in three events this past weekend as the Brattleboro, Vt. native finished the 100 IM with a time of 1:11.88, followed by the 100 Backstroke at 1:11.75 and finished in the 200 medley alongside three other teammates to finish first with a time of 2:12.34.


WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Alannah Kelliher, Norwich - Opened her day by swimming the second leg of the 200 medley relay team that finished in 2:05.72, before returning a few events later for the 50 breaststroke, claiming first place on a 34.71 time. She took to the pool very soon after, logging a 26.57 effort in the 50 freestyle to capture the top spot. Kelliher closed her day by swimming the final leg of the 200 freestyle relay, capping off the team's 1:48.49 effort.

Brandy Lewis, Norwich - Secured Norwich's first solo win on the day, swimming a 11:50.55 in the 100 freestyle and returned to the pool later in the day, posting a 5:49.51 effort in the 500 freestyle, before taking to the pool for back-to-back events to close the meet. The first was the 200 IM, where Lewis touched the wall in 2:27.04 to come in first, and then she swam the first leg of the 200 freestyle relay team, piloting the squad to a first-place 1:48.49 effort.

Jenna Silva, Regis - completed two events with a first place finish this past weekend at Albertus. She finished the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:18.09 just before earning another first place spot in the 500 freestyle with a final of 6:43.33. 

Tiffany Twombly, Saint Joseph's (Maine) - Won the 1000 yard free, 200 yard breast stroke, and 50 yard butterfly. Was also on the winning 400 free relay team.
