SWIMMER OF THE WEEK Carli Quinlan, Simmons (Jr.) Junior Carli Quinlan guided Simmons to a fourth place finish at the MIT Invitational this past weekend that featured four nationally-ranked programs: Emory, Tufts, RPI, and MIT. In the 100-yard butterfly, Quinlan posted a personal-best time of 59.80 - cutting one second off her previous best - to finish third in the B-finals.Quinlan also finished second in the B-finals of the 100-yard freestyle clocking a time of 54.48, while also swimming the anchor leg of the 200-yard medley relay that posted a time of 1:58.12. |

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Alina Niemczyk, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) (Fr.) First-year Alina Niemczyk paced the women's team at the Jayden Szkirka Memorial Championships, where the Blue Jays finished sixth. She broke the program freshman record in the 100 fly, recording a time of 1:04.28 to finish 22nd. Niemczyk placed 14th in the 400 IM with a time of 5:20.43 and 18th in the 200 fly in a time of 2:27.69 and also finished 21st in the 200 IM with a time of 2:25.99. |
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Olivia Luhnau, Regis - Earned two first-place finishes in the 100-yard IM (1:06.41) and the 100 yard freestyle at 58:02. Finished as runner-up in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 33.69.
