Morgan Pelletier, Johnson & Wales (Fr., UT) First-year Morgan Pelletier delivered immensely at the plate for the Wildcats as the Meriden, Conn. native went 3-for-6 at the plate (.500), all of her hits resulting in home runs for JWU as her homers drove in six total in their doubleheader sweep against WPI. |
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Karla Carangelo, Albertus Magnus - Went 5-for-6 at the plate with a .833% batting average with three RBI's and two stolen bases in a doubleheader victory over Mass Maritime.
Mikaela Scwhippert, Albertus Magnus - Collected four hits at-bat with a .667% batting average, including two doubles and three RBI's.
Kyla Cook, Elms - Collected 12 hits at the place (12-for-22) with a .545% batting average with eight RBI's in three of six Elms games. Cook hit a walk-off single in Game 2 vs Vermont State Johnson.
Gemma Landry, Mitchell - Slashed 500/.563/.583, as the Mariners went 2-2 in non-conference play. Landry had six hits in 12 at bats, including a double, while driving in four runs and scoring four times. The senior began the week by going 2-for-5 with two RBI, three runs scored, and a pair of walks in a Wednesday sweep of Vermont State Lyndon. She then stayed hot, going 4-for-7 with two RBI, a walk, and a run scored on Saturday in two games against Nichols.
Brooke Whitmarsh, Mitchell - Slashed .692/.733/1.000, as the Mariners went 2-2 in non-conference play. On the week, Whitmarsh went 9-for-13 with two doubles, a triple, four RBI's, and five runs scored. She added one walk and one stolen base and had a perfect fielding percentage behind the dish. She had at least one base hit in all four games, including two games where she had three hits. Began the week by going 5-for-6 with three RBI's and four runs scored in a doubleheader sweep over Vermont State Lyndon on Wednesday. The senior then had four hits, including a double, with one RBI and one run scored on Saturday in a non-league doubleheader against Nichols.
Mel Rees, Regis - Batted .571 with four hits (.571 OBP, 1.000 SLG) in a doubleheader vs Clark. In game one, the sophomore recorded one hit in three at-bats, and in game two, she went 3-for-4, including a two-run home run in the opening inning that gave her team an early advantage and earned her a pair of RBIs in the victory.
