PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Leah Berdeen, Simmons (Sr., C)

Senior catcher Leah Berdeen posted a .400 batting average (2-5), including a triple against Chatham University to guide the Sharks to a 1-1 week. Against Chatham, the Goffstown, N.H. native scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the fifth, scoring on an opposite field double off the bat of Zoe Soule.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Ally Hyde, Simmons (Jr., P)

Junior right-hander Ally Hyde earned her first win of the season over Chatham University on Sunday afternoon (Mar 2). In a complete game, the Portland, Oregon native allowed just two unearned runs, while striking out eight Cougars to propel the Sharks to the victory.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Zoe Soule, Simmons (Fy., C/OF)

First-year Zoe Soule helped guide Simmons to a 1-1 week in her collegiate debut. Against Chatham, the Farmingdale, Maine native went 2-for-2, including an RBI double into the right centerfield gap to plate senior Leah Berdeen with the game-winning run.
