PLAYER/ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Jack Kane, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) (Fr., INF) First-Year Infielder Jack Kane registered 2+ hits in each appearance this week for the Blue Jays as the West Hartford, Conn. native collected 16 hits in 26 plate appearances across six games for USJ, collecting eight runs batted in (RBI's) in the process. Kane started the week strong, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI's in a win over Vassar, went 3-for-5 with two RBI's in a close game against Sage, and 2-for-5 with two RBI's in a win over SUNY Cobleskill. The first-year ended the week by going 2-for-4 against Washington & Jefferson, 2-for-3 vs. Calvin, and finished 3-for-5 with an RBI in a win over Hamilton. |

PITCHER OF THE WEEK Nick Choate, Anna Maria (Sr., P) Senior pitcher Nick Choate was strong on the mound for the Amcats in two appearances as the Grafton, Mass. native picked up a victory and a save in the process. The senior started his week strong in three innings of work against Drew, fanning five batters, while allowing only four hits and one run. Choate would follow up with a win over Thomas (ME) in five innings of work, collecting 10 strikeouts while allowing only two hits and no runs. He totaled 15 strikeouts while posting a 1.13 earned run average (ERA). |
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Jonathan Guardascione, Anna Maria - Went 7-for-14 at the plate with .500/.588./.857 averages along with five RBI's and four runs scored.
Vance Ward, Albertus Magnus - Collected seven hits on a .467% batting average (7-for-15) and two stolen bases while going 10-for-10 in putout attempts defensively.
AJ Cook, Elms - Went 10-for-23 at the plate with a .435% average as well as nine runs scored and six RBI's, including two doubles and a triple.
Tim Callahan, Lasell - Collected 15 hits on 33 attempts for a .455% batting average, including three doubles, while accumulating three RBI's and nine runs scored. He also broke the Lasell record for career runs with 107 and counting.
Matthew Fletcher, Lasell - Fanned eight batters while boasting a 1.29 earned run average and collecting a victory in only appearance for the Lasers against Monmouth (Ill.)
Brady Philibotte, New England College - Across five games, Philibotte went 8-for-14 while slashing .571/.563/.786 for the 'Grims. The senior scored four runs and led the team with seven runs batted in all while not striking out a single time. On Tuesday, Philibotte had his biggest moment of the season, thus far, slugging a walk-off double to defeat Manhattanville, 7-6.
Jaken Pellerin, New England College - Continued his hot start to the season, going 10-for-17 at the plate this week for the Pilgrims. The freshman smacked four doubles this week and drove in four runs while scoring three. He posted an otherworldly .588/.632/.824 slash line while leading the team in nearly every statistical category. On the season, the rookie leads the GNAC in batting average (.607), slugging percentage (1.000), and OPS (1.645).
Dawson Gundlah, Saint Joseph's (Maine) - Over six games played, Gundlah hit for .556% with 10 hits in 18 at-bats. In his 22 plate appearances, he collected four doubles and a home run while driving in five runs and scoring five himself.
Padraig Mac Seain, Saint Joseph's (Maine) - Earned a win in his only start with over six innings pitched, he allowed just one earned run for a 1.50 ERA while striking out 10 batters and posting an impressive 15.00 strikeouts per game. He did not walk a single batter. Opposing batters hit .280 against him with 25 at-bats and no home runs allowed.
