GORHAM, Maine – The Norwich University men's and women's cross country teams concluded their seasons at the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championships, hosted by the University of Southern Maine on Saturday. The Norwich men placed 14th out of 55 teams with 441 points while the women's squad finished 26th out of 56 teams with 853 points. Two weeks earlier, the two programs swept the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championships for the second straight year at Colt State Park in Bristol, R.I.

The Cadet men were led by junior Brody Hale (pictured), who finished 29th overall in 26:08 on the 8k course. He earned All-New England honors with his top-35 finish, the first time a Norwich runner has done so under Head Coach Nick Cooper. In women's action, the Cadets were paced by senior Haddie Lary (Randolph, Vt.), who placed 79th overall in 23:04.2 on the 6k course.

Amongst the GNAC women's programs in action, Simmons College finished 30th, Emmanuel was 31st, Regis was 35th, Suffolk was 47th, JWU was 48th, and Saint Joseph's of Maine was 53rd. Regis' Molly Curtin was the top GNAC finisher, placing 72nd with a time of 22:56.6, which was seven seconds faster than GNAC meet champion Lary. 

Also on the men's side, Emmanuel College (Mass.) finished 33rd, Regis (Mass.) finished 36th, Saint Joseph's College of Maine finished 41st, Johnson & Wales University finished 42nd, and Lasell College finished 51st.
