In addition to her time on the court, Barton was also an assistant coach with the Waynesburg men’s club volleyball team in 2009 and 2010 and has been a volunteer for the volleyball program in the Burgettstown Area School District since 2009.

While at Waynesburg, Barton served as President as a senior and Vice President as a junior of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and was selected as the PAC SAAC Scholar-Athlete of the Month for April 2012.
