PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Elise Hogan, Colby-Sawyer (Jr.)

Colby-Sawyer junior Elise Hogan had a very strong week for the Chargers with most of her action coming in the Salve Regina Clash on the Grass at the Tennis Hall of Fame. She played in the top flight of the doubles tournament, going 3-1. She followed that up with a dual match against Albertus Magnus. She was victorious at No. 1 doubles, 8-2, and then won her No. 1 singles match 6-4, 7-5.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Maria Espinosa Lopez, Colby-Sawyer (Fy.)

First-year Maria Espinosa Lopez was perfect for Colby-Sawyer this week. First, playing in the second flight at the Salve Regina Clash on the Grass doubles tournament at the Tennis Hall of Fame, Espinosa Lopez went a perfect 4-0. She continued that strong play in the No. 1 singles and doubles positions in a dual match against Albertus Magnus. She earned an 8-1 victory in doubles and a 6-1, 6-0 result in singles.
