WINTHROP, Mass. – It has been 14 months since the last Great Northeast Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championship, as the GNAC for the first time ever in the history of the sport has expanded the event to a three-day meet and pushed it back from early December to early February.

This year's three-day event will commence on Friday afternoon and conclude on Sunday evening from Simmons University's Holmes Sports Center Natatorium, in what will be the final year at the Fenway-area facility. The 2020 GNAC Swimming & Diving Championships will be held at a neutral site.

In the annual coaches' championship poll, Simmons received all eight first-place votes on the women's side, as head coach Mindy Williams' program seeks its 15th consecutive GNAC title this weekend.

On the men's side, Norwich University was chosen atop the field with five first-place votes and 47 points overall, narrowly ahead of Regis College, which received two first-place votes and 44 points in the poll. Norwich has won each of the last eight GNAC Men's Invitationals/Championships dating back to 2011.

Host Simmons will stream the 2018 GNAC Championships from the Holmes Natatorium. Be sure to catch all of the action live on thegnac.tv or watch your favorite GNAC team on one of our four custom digital streaming apps
