GNAC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week Report #2

RUNNER OF THE WEEK

Braeden Laframboise, University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) (Jr.)

Junior Braeden Laframboise had another impressive race this week for the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.). He placed eighth overall at the Cardinal Invitational hosted by Wesleyan, completing the six-kilometer course in 19:51. His time was a full minute faster than his performance in the same event last season. The Blue Jays placed fourth as a team.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Jacob Pelletier, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (So.)

Jacob Pelletier won his second race in as many weeks for Saint Joseph's (Maine) on Saturday (Sept. 9), earning the top spot at the Ron Ouellette Invitational hosted by the University of New England. He was the fastest runner on the 8K course, finishing with a time of 27:57. His time helped SJC rank second in the team competition.


WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Colby Makin, Norwich - Led the Cadets to an impressive third-place finish out of seven scoring teams at the Randolph Knights Maple Syrup Challenge. Posted a 30:54.45 time to finish 24th and lead all Norwich runners.

Benjamin Happenny, Regis - Finished 34th overall against a strong field at the Smith College Invitational with a five-kilometer time of 18:18.
