INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – For the second year in a row, the Johnson & Wales University men's soccer team will play out of New England for its first round NCAA Tournament game. The Wildcats have drawn Lycoming College in the first round on Saturday at 11 a.m.

Johnson & Wales earned its third-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament by beating Albertus Magnus on Saturday for the GNAC Tournament Championship. The Wildcats come into the postseason riding a school-record 11-game winning streak that has helped them to a school-best 17-4 mark. The Warriors, winners of the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Division, have a 16-1-2 record.

"In some ways I like the idea of playing a team out of region because it really has an NCAA feel to it," JWU head coach Dave Kulik said. "We're excited to be playing in the tournament against a top team."

In a history making seasons, the Wildcats will try to write another chapter as they are going for their first NCAA Tournament victory in school history. Last season, Johnson & Wales dropped a 1-0 decision at Franklin & Marshall. In addition, the Wildcats are searching for their first goal in the NCAA Tournament since 2007 when they lost a 2-1 decision in overtime to Western New England.

This will be the first meeting between the two programs and just the second time Johnson & Wales has faced a team from the MAC. In 2009, the Johnson & Wales lost a 3-1 decision to Fairleigh Dickinson – Florham.

The winner of Saturday's match will take on the winner of the Dickinson vs. Rowan on Sunday at 1 p.m.
