NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Mike Choiniere (Bethany, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus men's lacrosse team has been named to the Capital One Academic All-America Division III At-Large Third Team.  Choiniere, who has a 4.0 GPA in Communications at Albertus, led the Falcons with 75 points in 2015 on 52 goals and 23 assists.

Choiniere, a 2015 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference First Team selection, was ranked third in the nation in points per game (5.36) and fourth in goals per game (3.71).

He was tagged as a member of the 2015 GNAC All-Academic Team and was selected to the Capital One Academic All-District Team for Division III District 2.

Most recently, he was selected to the 2015 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) East-West All-Star Game after leading the GNAC in points this past season.

Choiniere is just the second-ever Academic All-American for Albertus Magnus College following women's basketball standout Lianna Carrero (Hamden, Conn.) who earned the prestigious recognition in both 2013 and 2014.
