Watson Joins 2,000 Point Club in Falcons Regular Season Finale

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Senior Darius Watson (New Britain, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus men's basketball team scored a career-high 36 points in Saturday's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) victory over Emmanuel College (Mass.) to become the third player in Albertus Magnus men's basketball program history to reach the 2,000-point milestone.

Watson reached the milestone with his first bucket of the contest.

With 2,035 career points, Watson is 199 points shy of Tim Russell's (2001-05) tally of 2,234, while both players stand just below Ray Askew (2008-12) who finished his career with 2,316 as the program's all-time leading scorer.

Watson leads the Falcons as well as the GNAC with 21.8 points per game this season and (as of Feb. 16) is ranked in a tie for 19th in the country with that tally.
