JWU Field Hockey Concludes Season in NCAA First Round

LEWISTON, Maine – The Johnson & Wales field hockey season came to a close with a 7-0 loss to No. 7 Bates College in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament Wednesday night at Campus Avenue Field. The Wildcats finished with a 17-3 record.

Freshman goalkeeper Sophia Brea recorded eight saves for the Wildcats while freshman Ava Pontes was credited with both shots for the visitors.

The Bobcats outshot the Wildcats 26-2 and scored twice in the first, once in the second, three times in the third, and once in the fourth. Page and Anna Cote each scored twice for Bates.
