Player of the Week
Alex Lorenc (Nanuet, N.Y.), Senior, OF, Saint Joseph's College (ME)
Lorenc enjoyed a tremendous week for the Monks, hitting .474 with six runs, two doubles, a home run and eight RBI in five games. The senior right fielder was 6-8 with five runs, two doubles, a grand slam home run and eight RBI in a sweep over GNAC-rival Rivier University on Saturday.
Pitcher of the Week
Nick Whittake (Yarmouth, Maine), Senior, RHP, Saint Joseph's College (ME)
Whittaker tied a career-high with 10 strikeouts in a 2-0 victory over Norwich University on Saturday. The senior hurler carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning versus the Cadets and capped the complete-game effort having allowed two singles.
Joshua Creamer (Groveland, Mass.), Freshman, INF/P, Anna Maria College
Creamer tossed a complete game 9-0 shutout of Rivier University on Sunday afternoon. The freshman scattered seven hits over seven innings with three strikeouts and one walk. Creamer lowered his era to a miniscule 0.75 with his second win of the season. He was 3-for-4 with an RBI from the dish on Sunday as well. For the week, Creamer batted .389 with seven hits including two doubles with an RBI and three stolen bases over a six game span.
