Doug Chin

Doug Chin began his third stint with the GNAC in 2023, accepting the role of Senior Associate Commissioner. He had previously worked for the GNAC in 2014 as Assistant to the Commissioner (NCAA Division III Ethnic Minorities and Women's Grant) and in 2012 as a multimedia specialist.

Chin's role with the GNAC focuses primarily on the Conference's media relations initiatives. He will facilitate all aspects of the GNAC's communications efforts, which include serving as the league's webmaster and facilitating the league's social media efforts. In his new position, the Boston University graduate will also explore ways to expand the Conference's reach and elevate its brand. Chin will also assist the Commissioner and Assistant to the Commissioner with adminstrative tasks such as scheduling, sport and championship adminstration, and development of the conference's strategic plan.

He is involved in athletics at both the regional and national level. He active in the Division III Assistant and Associate Commissioners Group (DIIIACG), a subcommittee of the Division III Commissioners Association (DIIICA). Within the DIIIACG, he serves on the Championships subcommittee. He has also served in the NCAA in multiple capacities. He began NCAA Committee service in 2019 when he began a three-year term as the CCC's representative on the Division III Men's Tennis Regional Advisory Committee (RAC). Chin also served as the NCAA site representative for the 2022 DIII Men's Ice Hockey Quarterfinal in Utica, N.Y., the 2023 DIII Women's Ice Hockey First Round at Colby College, and the 2023 DIII Men's Ice Hockey Quarterfinal at Curry College. He is currently a member of the NCAA Division III Membership Committee.

He is a member of College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) and National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA).
