GNAC Hosting 2022 Professional Development Seminar on August 11 at Regis

GNAC to host first PDS
since 2018 on August 11

WINTHROP, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference is set to host its latest Professional Development Seminar (PDS) one month from today, hosted by GNAC member Regis College on Thursday, August 11 at its Fine Arts Center in Weston, Mass.

After hosting seven PDS events from 2007-2018, next month will mark the first PDS the GNAC has been able to host in-person in four years. 

More than 200 GNAC administrators, coaches, and student-athletes will take in an in-depth presentation from Dr. Chelsi Day, a sport psychologist at The Ohio State University, focused on understanding Generation-Z to build effective relationships and maximize potential. 

Check-in and breakfast hour will be at 9AM, followed by the award presentations at 10AM for the GNAC Executive of the Year, SID Staff of the Year, Athletic Training Staff of the Year, Man and Woman of the Year, and Commissioner's Cups.

During the 9AM hour, administrators and coaches will intermingle and may visit our guest vendors on hand, including Team IMPACT. They will also receive a welcome packet with the 2022 GNAC Viewbook printed magazine.

Prior to Day's presentation at 10:45AM, NCAA Division III Vice President Louise McCleary will speak, as will Anna Maria College men's soccer senior Daniele Iaboni, who currently serves as the GNAC national SAAC representative and is a member of the D3 Management Council.

The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) is an NCAA Division III association made up of 14 member institutions and over 3,500 student-athletes across the New England region. Founded in 1995, the GNAC annually sponsors and administers 22 championships, while balancing academic integrity, athletic opportunity and community involvement in an effort to enhance the student-athlete experience.
