SCHEDULE ALERT: GNAC Field Hockey, Men's Soccer Championships at SJC Moved to Sunday

STANDISH, Maine – Due to the inclement weather forecast, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) field hockey and men's soccer championship games, originally scheduled to be played Saturday at the SJC Athletics Complex, have been pushed back to Sunday, November 4th.

On 'Championship Sunday' at the SJC Athletics Complex, the SJC field hockey team will host Lasell at 12:00 PM and the Saint Joseph's men's soccer team is set to host Johnson & Wales University in a 3:00 PM kickoff.

It was also announced on Thursday that the GNAC Women's Soccer Championship, featuring Saint Joseph's of Maine at Lasell College, was moved from the original Saturday 1:00 PM start to Sunday at the same time.

The forecast for Saturday calls for steady rainfall throughout the day with high winds, gusting up to 50 MPH, later in the afternoon. Sunday's forecast shows temperatures ranging in the mid-to-high 40's with a clear skies and no chance for precipitation.

The GNAC Women's Volleyball Championship featuring Rivier University at JWU will still take place as originally on Saturday, November 3 at 1:00 PM.
