GNAC Women's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week Report #4

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Jackie Cronin, Elms (Jr., A/M)

Junior Jackie Cronin led the way for the Blazers in a 1-1 week as the Smithtown, N.Y. native was responsible for 18 of the 23 Elms points scored in those two games. Cronin was responsible for all but one point in an earlier road game against Mount Holyoke as she scored four times and assisted on three before helping the Blazers bounce back in a GNAC victory over Albertus Magnus as Cronin put up seven goals and four assists for 11 points. She also collected 11 ground balls, 12 draw controls, and caused seven turnovers on the week for Elms.

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK

Bailey Manning-Ingala, Norwich (Jr., GK)

Junior goalie Bailey Manning-Ingala saw a full game of action this past week, standing tall for a full 60 minutes in a double-digit victory over VTSU Castleton as the West Hartford, Conn. native allowed just four goals while making an impressive 11 saves for a 73.3% save percentage and a win.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Alice Rourke, Lasell (Fr., M)

First-year midfielder Alice Rourke put up six points in a conference win over Dean as the Norwich, Conn. native found the back of the net five times and helped a teammate get on the board once as well in the process.


WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

Soph Kuhlthau, Colby-Sawyer - Powered the Chargers to a GNAC win over Simmons where she powered in her 4th straight hat trick as well as dished out two assists on a 80 SOG% and a couple of caused turnovers and winning six draw controls.

AJ Paton, Colby-Sawyer - Posted seven saves with a 53.8% save percentage to earn the victory for Colby-Sawyer over Simmons.

Madeline Wright, Emmanuel - Put up 16 points on 13 goals (72%) and three assists across three games for the Saints (1-2) along with 14 draw controls. Put up six goals against Worcester State and five in conference win over Rivier.

Madeleine Gould, Johnson & Wales - Scored six goals and added four draw controls and an assist at Wheaton (Mass.). 

Joy Sayah, Lasell - Collected six saves while only allowing two goals to post a 75% save percentage in 45 minutes in GNAC win over Dean.

Caitlyn Fielder, Norwich - Opened up the week ripping in four goals, securing two ground balls and 10 draw controls, and generating a turnover in a victory over VTSU Castleton and followed that with three goals and two assists for five points, alongside four ground balls, four draw controls, and a caused turnover in a win at Russell Sage.

Ellie Moriarty, Norwich - Made history for the Cadets this past week, while piloting Norwich to a pair of victories. Against VTSU Castleton, she tallied two goals and four assists for six points, becoming the program's all-time assists leader, shattering a 16-year mark of 72 set by Allison Daniels. She followed that with a hat trick and an assist for four points, along with three ground balls and three caused turnovers, in a win at Russell Sage. 

Mackenzie Siebert, Saint Joseph's (Maine) - Accumulated 9 total points with 7 goals and 2 assists in a 1-1 week for the Monks on a 63.6% shooting percentage, going 10-for-11 on shots on goal (90.9%).
